PHYSICS ON THE GO EDEXCEL AS URGENT HELP!
7ooD:
IN THE SAMPLE PAPER THERE IS A QUESTION WHICH SAYS MODERN CARS INCLUDE CRUMPLE ZONES TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE IMPACT FORCE SUGGEST HOW THE CRUMPLE ZONES DO THIS.
IN THE MARK SCHEME THEY MENTIONED THAT IT INCREASES DISPLACEMENT IS INCREASED AND ALSO THEY SAID IT INCREASES TIME THUS DECREASING ACCELERATION WHAT I DNT UNDERSTAND IS HOW DISPLACEMENT AND TIME ARE INCREASED
vanibharutham:
Crumple zones literally CRUMPLE.
Crumple zones are car safety features that are designed to decrease the force felt by the cars.
By crumpling, it increases the amount of time taken to stop the vehicle. Since time increases, acceleration decreases and thus force decreases.
they also absorb much of the kinetic energy of the moving vehicle so that it does not bounce backwards
Sweet_03:
7ood .. yu have the MarkScheme for the sample paper :'O ?!
can you please post it here .. :"( i neeed it
7ooD:
vani i kno all that i asked how it increases time and displacement cuz i dnt get it sweet it is found in freeexampapers as edexcel sample then choose the second last one
vanibharutham:
it increases time and displacement by crumpling
it needs to crumple instead of just smash into pieces... crumpling takes more time...
just think about it
