Adam Smith is considered a retarded and pessimistic economist by modern capitalistic economists due to his views about human poverty. One of his silly predictions was, food supply grows arithmetically, 1,2,4,8. Population grows geometrically 1,2,4,16... He failed to take into account the advances of technology. Thus, I fully agree with the capitalistic economists that he was retarded and pessimistic.
