The iterative formula was given to us :)
xn+1= xn(p +xn)
when n = 0, we get a value for x1 = 1 (given)
when n = 1, we get a value for x2 => x1(p + x1)
==> p + 1
when n = 2, we get a value for x3 => x2(p + x2)
==> (p+1)( p + p + 1)
==> ( p + 1 ) ( 2p + 1 ) => 2p²+3p+1
and so on
and we found a value for p = -1.5
now , using that value
we can find
x1 = 1
x2 = -1.5 + 1 => -0.5
x3 = 1
x4 = -0.5
