CIE= Biology,applied ICT,Chemistry
Edexcel= Maths :)


Why? need these subjects for medicine....hate physics so didnt bother taking it :P

math: i love math
further math: same reason as above :P
phy:engineering
chem:engineering
bio:to keep option for med open if not engineering
eco: to learn more about the world etc.
thinking skills: to be able to think creatively
urdu: for AICE diploma

Uhh accounting, economics, business, computing, maths, bio, chem, phy, english (not sure); for us guys atleast. :)

English/General Paper is not necessary, wtf?

I don't know about that. I still say take Physics to be safe, it has a short syllabus and is quite easy. (said the re-sitter lol)
I think Maths can replace Physics for medicine, but I am not sure. I took Bio, Chem, Phy and Computing.

For abroad, I think only a decent grade in IGCSE English, yes.

Plus, universities look more at your TOEFL and IELTS scores; so do them after your A Levels (for bonus points).

i think from what my school tld us...an AS or A level english component is needed...or its like u left english aftr ur 10th grade...we have it compulsory ..tho i dnt mind it at all...lol

I think its only for the southasian subcontinent; i.e. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

We do not know about any such rule.

Also, my friend in Pakistan said they make them do classes for "GP - General Paper | English" in AS but they don't give the exam (wtf?). Then it's not compulsory in A2. lol :S

I gave english for A2...lol...writing stories was gr8. ;D ;D..but d commentary part generally sucked... :( :(

I wish I took English in A levels. :)
