=>  (46i) +  (ki +30j)(t-0.5)
=> (46 + k(t - 0.5))i + (30(t-0.5))j
t has to be t - 0.5 here because it left 0.5 seconds after the alien spacecraft


(40t)i + (12 + 15t)j = (46 + k(t - 0.5))i + (30(t-0.5))j

12 + 15t = (30(t-0.5))
12 + 15t = 30t - 15
27 = 15t
t = 1.8
