:-X I DNT HOW THE CATHODE RAY OSCILLISCOP WORKS AT ALL .......................CAN U HELP IN JUN 09 / O LEVEL /PHYSICS / PAPER2 THE QUES ON THE CATHODE RAY

astarmathsandphysics:
Think x axis time
y axis volts
in i) they start of ith 1 square on the y axis =2V but then they change it so 2.5 squares on the y-axis =2V
iii)The beam moves from left to right across the screnn at a constant speed and up and down to show the voltage. The net effect is that the voltage at particular times is shown

jmarc:
Thanks........but what about part ii and to chec that 1 verical position represents 2V

astarmathsandphysics:
Apply a battery voltage of 2volts and see if it goes up one square

astarmathsandphysics:
Or 10v and 5 squares
