How hard is it to get an A* in A levels

Why does it has to be this difficult to get A ?? They should have made it so difficult to get A in IGCSE as everything is easy . but in AS things are pretty HARD so they should have some MERCY on us ? Not everyone is perfect .

never seen any thresholds in AS-level >> do u have any site where i could check it
