guys .. what are all the equations u need to know for the production of sulphuric acid?

brazchic:
I think u r talking about the contact process?

This is it:

1)Sulphur is burned in air so: SO2 + O2 --> SO2
2)Sulphur is mixed with more air and passed over several beds of catalyst, vanadium oxde, at 450 degrees:

2S02 + O2 (reversible symbol) 2SO3 (sulphur trioxide)
3)Than it is dissolved in conc. sulphuric acid and oleum is formed.
4) It is than mixed with wateer:
H2O + SO3 --> H2SO4

This forms concentrated sulphuric acid.
It is important that you focus especially on step 2 because it is a reversible reaction and it is good to know how a high yield is achieved and stuff...

I'm sorry i couldn't write the proper symbol for the elements and the reactions but i hope u understand it!
i'm taking chem tomorrow morning!! hope i do well...  :-[
GOOD LUCK FOR U TOO!!!!!
