Coursera/EDX
« on: June 14, 2012, 08:32:52 am »
Hi guys! :)

So coursera offers courses from universities such as Stanford, Princeton, Michigan and Pennyslvania for free. Now these courses seem really interesting but has anyone here ever tried them out? If yes, is it really worthwhile and do you get a certificate to show you completed the course? I mean I don't care about the certification but I'm hoping to learn something new out of it. So I want to know if it's really worth it.

EDX is  this MIT-Harvard conjoined thing where they offer course but it hasn't really started full fledged. They had one course they were offering in summer( Circuits and Electronics)and that's done with and the next one is in fall...but yeah if you haven't checked it out here's the link

I think you should inquire with the authorities there about your questions. I suppose they would be offering a certificate  :-\

I saw those sites.
Not as much use as reading a book I think,
