Both are needed, they are in equilibrium. Reduce the world population by 3/4, the world would not have progress this far! In a way more life= more new genius thus more benefits, conclusion both are on the same level!

speaking from the birth point of view ...
than fathers are equally impt for a birth of a kid .... :) ..... mothers cant give birth alone ...

whereas scientists just made life easier ..
