Step 1: Remove the battery, immediately.
Step 2: Dry the cellphone with an absorbent towel as much as you can.
Step 3: If the phone was dropped in salt water, then wash it with pure water, otherwise give it an alcohol bath.
Step 4: Leave it in a warm dry area for 3 days before replacing the battery and switching the phone on.
Step5: If the above steps don't work, buy a new cell phone.
