no no ,, i think the answer is C ,,, cuz after evaporation the most energetic particles have escaped taking the energy wid them . which in turn decreases the temperature of the remaining liquid .. its just like an after shave which after it evaporates leaves the skin cool ...

well i personally put down C ,, ppl people say its B cuz some crossectional area bullshit ,,i just dont get how its B , i think its C

It is B. The cross sectional area is different but the pressure is the same using P=pgh(=atmospheric pressure)

hey u guyz my physics teacher ses the 11th answer is B , it remains the same, but ur ms shows C. but if u think about it -if u keep increasing the diameter of the tube will the mercury be at the same level for same pressure? that seems kinda wierd..

nyway if the answer is C im gettin 40/40!! but B may be right
