Melting and boiling points of salts

I don't really get the idea of boiling and melting point, and which salts have high b+m points and which has low??

for ex. water its b.p is 100 if it is higher than that it will be impure and if the m.p which is 0 is lower it is also impure and this idea applies 2 all the other substances ........ ;)

u should also know that as u go down group 1, the mp,bp decreases
ionic compounds have high mp, bp
