omega007:
The answers for the trigonometric identities (part a) were:

For tan x part: -45 and 135

For sin x part: 23.6 and 156.4

Any other questions???

onhsa:
So, everyone, did you fall for THE TRICK?Well, we all know how "easy" 4sinx=3tanx was. But what of the hidden agenda Edexcel so kindly cooked up for us? The ones who think have gotten it "right" did this:

4sinx=3(sinx/cosx)
(4/3)(sinx)(cosx)=sinx
(4/3)(cosx)=1(sinx/sinx)
(4/3)(cosx)=1
cosx= 3/4
and they found values for x

however, we have missed out alot of the question... keep reading

4sinx=3(sinx/cosx)
4(sinxcosx)=3sinx
4(sinxcosx)-3sinx=0
sinx(4cosx-3)=0
sinx=0
& then find values for sinx=0 as well
cosx=3/4
find values of cosx

So we have missed a part of the question, please post what u've done here, cos  if no one's gotten it right fully, they may accept the incomplete version as a correct answer.
