I liked the bio paper Hey for the genes thing
Meiosis was identical
mitosis was non-identical (nucleus now has haploid number of chromosomes)
right?

isnt it the other way around? meosis is haploid

cause when sewage is added bacteria feed on the organic matter,using a lot of dissolved oxygen. When this happens fishes have less oxygen to thrive on(they die). When they die it depletes oxygen levels more....so bacteria which do not require oxygen(anaerobically respiring bacteria)will increase cuz they can survive without oxygen

I just want to clarify this whole aphid and phloem thing.
The question was : " Aphids feed on the contents of phloem. What do they lack in their diet ? "
And the choices were : A amino acids
                                B fats
                                C sucrose
                                D water
I thot that aphids were green plants that stuck to plants' stems, so they cud produce glucose but needed amino acids as they weren't able to absorb nitrate ions from soil [ we did a question like this once in some ppr 3 but i noe now they were NOT aphids ] so niways i had water and fats COMPLETELY ruled out.
SOOO help me out here.... most ppl here say fats . BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW APHIDS LACK  FATS IN THEIR DIET?
Water is ruled out but it cud easily be amino acid and sugars? y fats?

An aphid is an insect-the answer is fats because the plant makes amino acids and transports them via the phloem-it also transports sucrose, which is dissolved in water, so the only logical answer can be B-yes the plants have FAT but mainly in their fruits (for example the avocado)

Im asking again, what did u ppl put for the monocot leaf? The answer is D, the long thin one.

@vivek. Its C. Since its a 3:1 ratio, PP x Pp is the answer. The offspring will be PP, Pp, Pp, and pp, so 3 purple for 1 yellow. Simple.

Monocoat is D
And if PP X Pp is the answer u r wrong. Because offspring will be PP,PP,Pp and Pp

Therefor all purple. and No yellow.

hey not all were of the same colour most of dem were black n sum were white im tlkin accordin to da pic so it has to be 75% purple so this makes it PpxPp

I did stomata as water escapes from it.

it betta be stomata cuz frm da xylem it will even move upwards

i think water is lacking in aphid diet!!!because it is feeding on phloem which contains no water!!
