I agree thukon but A also had a 3:1 ratio, i dont remember the genotypes, but im pretty sure that it was that ratio, additionally, my point was it said said that one of the parent phenotype had one yellow genotype, therefore it cant be Pp for both as 'P' is dominant to 'p', therefore both the phenotypes of the parents would be purple..

First of all, one of the parents couldnt be yellow and still combine to give a 3:1 ratio. Its impossible.
And it never said anything like that one parent is yellow. All it asked was what are the genotypes of the parents.
