their are specail cells in the senses called receptor cells wen the receptor cells are exposed to a particular stimuli they send impulses through the sensory nuerone which go to the CNS either the brain or spinal cord the brain then sends impulses through the motor nuerone to the effector which is the muscle or gland.wen the impulse reaches the effector it causes the muscle to contract or the gland to produce hormones.
an easy way to remeber motor nuerone is that that it is like our hand
