To the biggest rock she ran
    Bare, her tiny feet
    Tears in dry season
    God, she wants to meet

    She stretches our her face
    To show pain and dismay
    Waiting, she stays in place
As if the wind could take it all away

    Her voice is cracked
    She pleads still
    High and loud
    With strong will

    God, Oh God!
    Of all choices,
    Did you leave me any?
    Then why this misery?

    God, hear me!
    Oh hear me please!
    Of all the crimes,
    Which one was mine?

I suffer, and then I cry
I teeter, oh tell me why!
    Your criminal is twice better
He pays his yesterday, and I, my future

    I heard people say
    - Do good and good you will be
    - Do bad and it will haunt thee
But to those who can neither, nay?

You said you planted in a garden
Of beauty as a glimpse of Heaven
Tell me, you went back on your word?
How came your roses in the desert?

    I'm ill... I'm weak
    God, why don't you speak?
    What did I do,
    That you made peace woe?

    ...

No fair angel, no white wing,
    No stroke of light hit
Finally, God said "You did nothing
    - I did it."

Extract of what I had written for an article on the Human Opportunity Index, which I did not get time to complete.

Some people have bad 'luck' following them-- if humans choose to call it so for their own reference-- for no fault of their own. The HOI explains that where you are born can sometimes be a big hindrance to your future development. They should not be looked down upon. Your definition of justice should not necessarily meet that of God.

Next time you see someone struggling to survive, even if it be in the wrong way, don't rush to judge. Instead, remember, it could have been you there.

Deep. Beautiful.
