2c: the change in speed is 9.5 m/s cause frm 9.5,when the ball touches the grnd it comes to 0 so its 9.5 i hope thats what the mark scheme says
8c: the function of a diode is that its a rectified, it changes frm A.C to D.C so as the A.C current flows in forward bias of the diode, the diode allows the flow but when A.C flows in the opposite direction, the diode doesn't allow that so A.C changes to D.C

lol sorry fer the incorrect answers well then the other alternative is first one is 9.5 - 8 and the second one is 9.5 + 8 :D
well it does make sense change in speed at that point is 1.5 n change in velocity is 17.5 sorry fer the wrong answer :)

use a scale 100N=1cm. draw a line 12.2cm starting at the left hand pin on the bar parallel to the 1220N force, and a line 9.5 cm staring at the right hand pin parallel to th 950N force. Where these to lines meet draw a diangonal to the opposite corner of the paralllelogram. Timnes this length by 100 to get the force in N.
