kk i'll also use smaller font but still not 10!!  :D :D
for sound waves , i think we have to draw normal waves with the crests labelled compression and troughs named rarefaction  :P

Then the y-axis will be 'air pressure' ?! Isn't it?
Because I thought we can draw many waves close together naming them a compression and many other quite apart and name them a rarefaction?

yeah, but the y-axis will be air pressure and labelled above normal, normal, and below normal. as high air pressure is caused by compression and low air pressure by rarefaction :D

idol2009:
The refractive index is  sin i/sin r if I am not mistaken, so why in the Oct/Nov 08 paper 3 mark scheme is the answer to question 6b) sin r /sin i? I can't seem to understand, even though the answer looks wrong...
If anyone could explain to me that would be really helpful!
