how is this related to physics?
anyways cud sum1 tell me how a thermocouple works?

IGfab4:
it's just some kind of a break....wouldn't mind just posting one extra word..  8)

anyway, thermocouple works when there are two junctions, hot and cold, connected by two wires of different conducting abilities(usually copper and constaton). the difference in temperature produces a potential difference between the two junctions which can be read on a calibrated voltmeter which shows the temperature. the cold junction is usually melting ice at 0 degrees C.

 :D happy studying
