anywayz i have a question for everybody
how would u find the percentage of oxygen in a gas jar that contains 150 cm3 of air?
--- End quote ---
Wait, was it a test, or is it ur own genuine doubt, and do these kind of questions appear in IGCSE which means we have to MUG UP THE PERCENTAGES OF DIFFERENT GASES IN THE ATMOSPHERE?!

u like testing others. don't u??
well i believe it is 20% of the volume
that would be 30cm3
now tell us the right ans "LIL" teacher :P

ahahaha, yeah i do like testin ppl, lol
anyone else before i give the answe
and thukon this question came up before in one of the pastpapers, and it just requires a little thinking

yup those of nitrogen, oxygen and CO2
79%,20% and 0.04% respectively
thukon:
Im guessing you have to burn the gas and measure the final volune, but most probably wrong because CO2 is produced. And lilwayne, ur signature pic is giving me seizures. lol.
nid404:
keep iron filings in a jar with 150cm3 of air. Keep this jar inverted over a trough filled with water. note the rise in volume of water. this is the volume of air displaced is the volume of oxygen
