when they give you the carboxyl and diamide u do this but when they ask for the formula of the nylon)as in in the q u asked) u simply replace the boxes with the group(alkane) (CH2)6

b4... i said that the general formula of alkyls is Cn H2n-1. MISTAKE!!!!Its Cn H2n+1.
