Name 2 ways of obtaining hydrogen (on a large scale)?
--- End quote ---
Wah do you mean? obtaining hydrogen from.....
--- End quote ---
i mean how would u obtain a large quaantity of hydrogen ?
and who the hell told u he has a ghost writer (pure bullshit)
--- End quote ---
by electrolysis of acidified water

Another Question:
How do you purify copper using electrolysis?
nid404:
Extraction of Copper - Purification.
The anode is a block of impure copper.
The cathode is a thin piece of pure copper
When electricity is passed through the cell
copper is dissolved at the anode by oxidation, Cu2+ ions go into solution.
Cu(s) - 2e- Cu2+(aq)
At the cathode, copper is deposited by reduction.
Cu2+(aq) + 2e- Cu(s)
As copper ions move from the anode to the cathode
the anode gets smaller as the cathode gets bigger.
This is a redox reaction.
The rate at which the copper ions enter the electrolyte from the anode
is the same as the rate at which the copper ions
leave the electrolyte at the cathode. The concentration of
the copper(II) sulfate solution therefore remains unchanged
As copper is transferred from the anode to the cathode
any soluble impurities in the copper anode
dissolve in the copper(II) sulfate and are removed later.
Insoluble impurities fall to the bottom of the cell and form a sludge.
The sludge often contains precious metals (silver and platinum)
which are extracted and refined.
hope this is fine
