Increased University Tuition Fee's

I'm currently studying my AS levels and soon will be choosing my university placements.

I come from quite a poor background and with the recent increases in tuition fee's here in the UK, I am genuinely considering my options as to whether it is viable to go to university or not.

Are other people feeling the same? What are the alternatives, if any?

If you do good in your alevels, you get scholarships for full tuition fees.

Atleast you are not international when fees are much higher!

I'm a pretty good student, but don't know whether 'all paid' scholarships are the answer.

I want the paperwork, not necessarily the whole 'university lifestyle'.

I was looking at doing a distance learning course such as this: http://www.brightonsbm.com/hnc-hnd-courses/hnc-business.htm

Could save lots living at home still.

Thoughts?

My uni is increasing the tuition fee again this year and we aren't even allowed to do a petition. -.- Seriously pissed off.
