« on: November 26, 2011, 01:50:11 pm »
i need help, i have been following american english and for me it is impossible to switch to british language. My teacher always find mistakes in my text which are wrong in british sense. Can anyone tell me whether writing in american way has any effect or not?

Generally, it is agreed that no one version is "correct" however, there are certainly preferences in use. The most important rule of thumb is to try to be consistent in your usage. If you decide that you want to use British English spellings/vocab then be consistent in it. :)
