How to study for IT ?! >_<
« on: November 13, 2011, 07:29:00 pm »
I hope this is the appropriate board for this thread ... ::)

Well, I have IT exam tomorrow and I have no idea at all what to do for it and I don't have any proper notes on it either.

The topics coming up is on: Basics of Computer, MS Word, MS Power Point. (Theory paper only)

I almost passed my class test so I need to do really well for this exam.

So ... please help me out here - any notes or stuff.

Thanks much in advance. (:

Have you got any notes from your IGCSE?

Practise options from Ms Word and Power Point. Go through all the different features. Check out the options of paragraph, indentation, margins, borders, headings etc.

And for Basics of Computer, surf the net for notes on Input-Process-Output system, RAM and ROM, components of the computer etc.

What sort of questions were you asked during the class test? Maybe, you'll be tested the same way again. So, study accordingly.  :)

I did Computer Studies not IT for my IGCSEand they are well ... different. I used my IGCSE notes for the basic stuff.
I am weak with the MS word (had test on this topic) - practically good but with the theory part, I suck at it.
I didn't have any test on MS power point but I am sure it'll be another hell.

I have some questions here which I need some help on:

1- In MS word 2007, borders can be applied to:
A-Cell
B- Paragraph
C- Text
D- All of the above

2- In MS word 2007, a default left margin
A- 1
B- 1.25
C- 1.5
D- 2

3- In MS word 2007, which tab from the ribbon is used to find a character ?
I don't remember the options for this, but my guess is Home Tab ? =/

4- Which option can be used to justify a text over a height of a paper ?
A- Page setup from File menu
B- Paragraph from Format menu
C- Formatting toolbar
D- Fonts from Format menu

I tried from my sister's laptop and she has MS 2010 and that has it has as 1 while mine which is MS 2007 has it has 1.25 :-\
