dcgs:
i got 29....but then the radius is deff 0.15 and it asked how many stomata in 1 mm2, so the ratio is;       29:0.07 therefore to get 1 mm2, divide 29 by 0.07, so the answer i think was 114 or something.

dcgs:
By the way sorry the 0.07 is the area. 3.14 X (0.15)2 is 0.07. its the area

lys90:
i think somehow missed out the x40 for the area of the field of view, and the stomata was x100. so u have to take the ratio, [(3.14)(0.15x0.15)/40] x 100=158.5

should be lo...........

musicfreak:
well u had to count the no of stomatas per mm2...so the no of stomata in the area of view were 28 but per mm2 was what??
i got 159 after calculation... did anyone else get that??

examfreak:
0.07? no..i ddnt get anything like that...well...did we even need the graticule thingy? i ddnt need it at all:s the stage micrometer was 0.1 mm and the diameter was 3 micrometer divisions ..thus it was just...0.3 mm??
am i right?
