The Golden Girl =D:
I took Math , chemistry and Physics AS Edexcel in Jan & June 2011 and here are my results:

Physics Unit 1  75/120   C
Physics Unit 2  101/120  A
Physics Unit 3  51/6o     not sure if it's A or B  :-[           Physics AS   B

Chemistry Unit 1  82/120  C  *One  mark from a B =,= *
Chemistry Unit 2  88/120  B  :-\
Chemistry Unit 3   56/60   A                     Chemistry AS  B

C1  83/100  A
C2  92/100   A
M1  76/100   B                              Math AS A

Now here comes the Question , Do you think I should repeat Unit 1 for both Phy and Chem in Jan 2012 to change those TWO Bs into As ?

I have not yet decided but I'm thinking of not repeating since I've got to do THREE A levels by Jan & June 2012 ,which would be too much pressure on me.. Plus my friends said that too.

I'm asking in this forum because there are many taking Edexcel ,who could give me an advice while at home I'm the only one taking/who took A level.

Another Query but it's About TOEFL,

I was supposed to do the TOEFL in summer 2011 but my sisters said it's  better for me NOT to do it now and do it later while taking a Course so that I score a High Score. But my friend told me that University Admissions start from January 2012  in UAE or something. Main Point should I do it NOW (before January) or wait till Summer 2012 ?

My friend freaked me out when she said that  :-\ :'(

Thanks in Advance =]

With regards to TOEFL, since idk about Edexcel AT ALL:
A 'course'? Unless it's an English course, there's no use delaying your TOEFL. Firstly, the earlier you take it, more time you'll have to resit if God forbid you don't get a good score. Secondly, TOEFL is not like SAT which require topnotch English and a lot of effort. People with good English can usually prepare in less than a week, and even if you have mediocre English you don't have to study for it day and night to get a good score. Hence, especially if you aren't going to school these days, give it now. Even if your score is bad, you can resit--and after a resit, you can definitely get a very high score. I don't know about UAE admissions, but here in Pakistan admissions start around January too and giving TOEFL/IELTS in the following summer is not advised.

First, congrats, those are some really nice grades, very similar to what I got in my AS a year back.

Unless you feel that it's absolutely necessary to get As in both Chemistry and Physics, It's probably better not to repeat. After all, Physics 1 is the hardest paper I have given in A levels (I've done both AS and A2) so it wouldn't be wise at all unless you're 100% confident you can do better. And if, God forbid, you get worse or the same marks, you'd have wasted a few months on basically nothing.

As for TOEFL, from what I've heard, it's not too difficult. If you're not lazy unlike me, you could give it within a few weeks and still get a really good score. Don't wait too long to give TOEFL.

@Chingoo :  Thanks a lot , that was really useful =]

@wakemeup : Thank you =] .. That's why  I've thought of not repeating to be honest.... Okay =]

You two kind of freaked me out about the TOEFL thing LOL , but inshAllah will think about doing it soon inshAllah =]

If anyone has any more Advice to share or if other would like to share their experience/knowledge with me I'd be grateful =]
