Physics doubt, Exams close! : O

(1/1)

Chait73:
Hey guys can you please explain to me ( a Physics SL student) how one get the potential divider formula of

Vout=Vin R2
                                               R1 + R2
in terms of R2 and R1 the entire mathematical derivation, and if you can, this one's too, there's a few things I can understand. Thanks SO much!  :D, will rep!

[Well its a headache to type out, so if I didn't get it right follow this http://upload.wikimedia.org/math/6/c/3/6c3360009b5ebe9b3d2544cd021db764.png

And replace VL with V out and Vs with VIn]

Chait73:
I thought it'd get messed up, please follow the link! Thanks!

Master_Key:
Vout = vr1/(r1+r2)

This is the formula, don't know about the formula you are typing.

Chait73:
Thanks for replying ! I mean Vout=Vin*R2/R1+R2, so how do you make R1 or R2 the subject? please help, its been an hour since posting this and I still have no clue
