A Level subjects from different boards
« on: June 13, 2011, 06:41:56 pm »
Hello,

I will be completing my Maths and Physics A level from Edexcel Board this session. Would it be possible for me to sit for Computing A Level from CIE? And also again in January session I want to sit for FM1, M1 and AEA Maths from Edexcel. Is that possible? i.e. is this type of GCE considered as valid?
And also, after completing my FM1, M1 which cash-in code should I apply for?

Please also suggest me good CIE Computing Book for whole A Level.

Thanx in advance

I have answers to one of your questions. You can sit in Computing A Level from CIE, it won't matter really. I'm not entirely sure about your subject combination, you should ask someone who take Edexcel.

But will abide (forever) the Face of thy Lord--full of Majesty, Bounty & Honor.
Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

FM1, M1 and AEA is not considered an A-level

for an a-level u need to finish 6 modules at least like m1 m2 m3 m4 m5 and S1
and u must finish all the papers from a series

for example a person done m1 m2 m3 s1 s2 s3 is not considered an a-level cz he didn't complete neither of the ms' and the ss' i mean he didn't finish m4 m5

this is the format u can do AEA as can extra after finish ur math a level
