Yes, Nobody, there is a connection with an American (found by indian authorities). His name is "David Coleman Headley". It is said that he was the main master planner.

However, when India asked US authorities to hand over the "David Coleman Headley" US refused it point blank. He is being trialled in Chicago court now. However, not many people know about it and hold Pak responsible without any decisive evidence.

David Coleman Headley, formerly known as Daood Sayed Gilani. (which means he is a Christian convert from Muslim). Daood Gilani was born in Washington, D.C (American, by birth, not Pakistani). In 1985 Gilani married a Pennsylvania State University student, but they divorced in 1987. (Growing up as American)

Conclusion: 97% american - By birth, growth and environment. 3% pakistani  - former name and acquired citizenship later.
