Boat question:

(1/18) > >>

Dasith:
A man went to market & bought :
 a cow ,
a large pile of grass
 & a tiger

And the man can take only one item/object with him in a boat to cross to the other side of a river
(i.e either the cow/tiger/pile of grass)per round

The man need to cross the river & wants all the animals on the other side of the bank , & it is not possible to take more than 1 animal/ grass pile @ a time.

Question is How is he going to take all the animals + grass pile( as it was when bought from the market) to the other side??

It should be noted however, that if the man is not there:

The tiger may eat the Cow/ Cow may eat the grass

$tyli$h Executive:
First take the tiger to the other side of the river

Then take the pile of grass to the other side of the river (tiger won't eat grass)

Then come back and take the cow to the other side of the river. (the man is present, so no eating)

No, because the man will be present on the other side. ;)
