ACCA AND CA DIFFERENCE ?

(1/3) > >>

Saavya:
what is the exact difference between an ACCA qualified student and a Chartered Accountant (CA)???

searched on net but am not getting the main difference just mixed reviews :(

most said CA is better in someway but in 'what' way is not stated clearly...

please help :)

Most UniQue™:
Well I searched the net and i found out this:

Logically both study the same courses and subjects but with the difference of name and code of subjects, as both qualifications follow IAS, IFRSs issued by IASB.

The only difference is the name and the rest are rumours to make ACCA flop in competition with CA

For attaining CA qualification it is a must that you should intern at a accountancy practice while you are studying. But for ACCA you can gain your practical experience as you like.

And other thing is that ACCA has somewhat wider acceptance globally. But CA is considered more "prestigious"

Saavya:
ookayy

thanx  :)

Most UniQue™:
Anytime ;)

Kabab:
All i know is CA is advance and tougher than ACCA..
Rest i will have to ask my brother :P
