SAT 1 or TOFEL ?

Hey everyone

The Uni I would like to study in within a year in a half is in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia and that uni requires TOEFL.

I was wondering what if I did SAT 1 instead of TOEFL but I'm not quite sure whether the Uni will accept it or if it's a good idea in the first place.

No, no one can say whethr SAT is better or TOEFL is better but some univrsities accpt TOEFL som SAT and others IELTS.But most of the universities accpt all.frthermr SATS is accepted by ALL US universities but others lik TOEFL and IELTS r not!!...of the above the most recognized qualification is SAT because it not only checks ur english skills but also ur level of critical thinking!!
all Highly recognized universities accept SAT with SAT 2 (subject tests)
such as in Asia:
NUS(National University of Singapore) accepts all of the above qualifications
NTU (Nangyang Technological University)
IIT(Indian Institute of Tech)
etc.
while all US universities accept SAT 1-reasoning test,and SAT 2-subject tests

If you have a score of more than 550 on the SAT I with writing, you do not need the TOEFL.

Q. I do not speak English at home. Am I required to take the TOEFL "Test of English as a Foreign Language" exam? Can I substitute my great TOEFL score in place of my weaker SAT verbal score?

A. Penn requires all applicants to submit the results of the SAT Reasoning Test and two (2) SAT Subject Tests, along with the TOEFL exam. However, If a student scores higher than a 650 on the Critical Reading Section of the SAT Reasoning Test, then the student is exempt from taking the TOEFL exam. If a student feels that their verbal/writing scores are not adequate enough, then the student may also want to submit a letter of recommendation from their senior year English teacher commenting on the student's ability to comprehend and write at an advanced level of English. Keep in mind that the TOEFL score supplements the SAT verbal scores but will not serve as a substitute for the SAT verbal scores. Students should bear in mind that Penn faculty will hold all undergraduates to the same expectations regardless of linguistic background
