Saving word doc. in particular format?
« on: January 16, 2011, 04:03:59 pm »
Hi ;)

I want to save a document that only I can edit, but that others can print off,but CAN T change anything I have written...

Rep for your help,I did searches but found nothing.
I have tried password protecting,it  is not the best way to go as I want others to be able to access it,but not to change/copy any of the contents...
PDF isn t the best option,as I was asked to send it in Word.

Anybody got other suggestions,thanks

Thanks.

Another thing it has to be in 97-2003 Format.

(I have Word 2007)

In Word 2010, there is an option saying "Restrict Editing" under the label "Review". See if that option is there on Word 2007 because I don't remember but I think its there.

In Word 2007

Office Button ---> Prepare -----> Mark as Final (Let readers know the document is final and make it read-only).

and then you can use the Save as option to save it in the 97-2003 format.

P.S - I hope it works.  ;)
