Ans for third question from ecapelife,

(i) 
    Let X be the number of print jobs sent to the colour printer
    Y be the number of print jobs sent to the laser printer.
   
    X + Y ~Po ( 1.2 + a )
    P(X + Y = 0 ) = 0.01
    e^-(1.2 + a ) = 0.01
    -1.2-a =  ln 0.01 =  -4.6052
           a = 3.41

(ii)  For a day,
      X + Y ~ Po ( 4.61)
      P( X + Y = 3 ) = 0.163

(iii)  In one hr,Let X ~Po (0.15)  Y ~Po(0.42625),      X + Y~ Po ( 0.57625)
      In 7 hr, let A~Po ( 1.05 )  B ~Po ( 2.98375),      A + B  ~ Po ( 4.03375)

      Probability required
      =  ( Prob of 2 jobs in first hr, 1 job in next 7 hr ) + ( prob of 3 jobs in first hr, no job in next 7 hrs )
           -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                  Prob of 3 jobs in a day
      = P ( X + Y =2) x P ( A + B = 1 )  +  P( x + Y = 3 ) X P ( A + B = 0 )
         ---------------------------------------------------------------
                                  0.1625

      =0.09331 x 0.07143     +    0.01792 x 0.01771
        -------------------------------------------
                                  0.1625
      = 0.0430
