One of my students studying AS Maths with Edexcel - C1, C2, S1 - decided to drop C1 and C2 and change to studying stats. She took S1, S2 and S3 and has just found out she won't get any qualification at all because S1 if from AS, S2 is from A2 and S3 is from further maths. Since they are all from different qualifications, she won't get any single qualification. Neither will Edexcel transfer the modules to another exam board - AQA - who does AS stats because they can only transfer qualifications, not individual modules.
We have been trying to sort this bloody mess out for the past few days. We may need to go see our local MP, fresh from fiddling his expenses. Will see if we can persuade him to dance for £10.
