Is is true?
HUSH1994:
i was just having a look at the grade thersholder for may\june 2010 and i was shocked,"A" are very low,on what basis do they put the gradings?for example in math about 95 out of 130 was an A!!is it just me or is that too low?
Arthur Bon Zavi:
Thresholds are different for every sessions. Mark's boundary for achieving an A is decided by looking at the ease of paper. Sometimes they are high and sometimes low. There are other factors as well which the examiners look at to grade candidates.
Hypernova:
The Grade thresholds are made so that a normal distribution of grades are achieved by the students.
.... people fail.....so...
Deadly_king:
CIE has to make sure that @ least 10% of all the students sitting for a particular exam attains an A*. Hence it will adjust the threshold in that optic.
Secondly, less students sit for June than for November. So the threshold is more likely to decrease for June than it is for November.
HUSH1994:
ok Thank You man,and By the way which is better:
1.take AS in MJ 2011 and A2 in Mj 2012
2.take A-level in MJ 2012 only
