How do you fight something like that ? Do not be naiive and think that America cant simply unload a bunch of cluster bombs (banned by a UN treaty to which the USA is a signatory) or send in a few 'bunker-busters' in areas where Taliban elements are located.
American could do something like that but unlike the Taliban they follow the conventions of warfare.

They even offered them safe passage to Islamabad - the Taliban ignored the plea.

I'm not here to prove your points are baseless or anybody else's. I just hope we were having a peaceful debate here and not anything emotional/personal. This statement of yours, in bold, indicates that you were offended by my response.
If that is so, I did not mean to offend you.
I'd prefer not arguing in this matter any further since arguments are baseless if any emotions are involved and can get into something more violent, like what happened with the US and Talibans. ;)
