Dell intros new all-in-one PC, updates Zino HD specs
« on: September 24, 2010, 02:26:46 pm »
Setting its crosshairs on the competition, Dell has launched  new budget-friendly all-in-one and compact desktop PCs in time for the holiday shopping season. The $799 (starting price) Inspiron One 23 competes with HP's TouchSmart series, and to some degree, Apple's iMac. Key features include a 23-inch multi-touch display that is paired with a new touch interface called "Stage," which provides easy access to applications, music, videos, photos and Internet services like Netflix. The press release shied away from detailing hardware specs, but said the Inspiron One 23 would be available this weekend.

Meanwhile, the system builder has updated its late 2009 Inspiron Zino HD  line with new hardware. You can now purchase the Mac mini challenger with a 1.7GHz quad-core Phenom II X4 P940 processor, a Mobility Radeon HD 5450, as much as 8GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. Other hardware includes a Blu-ray drive, VGA and HDMI connections, wireless network connectivity, and it ships with a basic keyboard and mouse as well as Windows 7. Pricing starts at $299 (over $800 for the maxed model) and the updated Zino HD is already available through Dell.com.
