Would it be too much? (IGCSE and AS exams)
« on: September 21, 2010, 08:14:08 pm »
I'm in year 11 now and I sat three CIE IGCSE exams lasts year;
Biology: A*
Physics: A*
Maths: A*

This year I'm doing my other IGCSE exams in school (chemistry, history, french, English lit. and English 1st language)
and also Biology and Maths AS exams (edexcel).

I'm thinking of doing physics AS at home, do you think the workload'll be too much?
Any advice will be appreciated :)
Thank you!

Obviously, you will be overburdening yourself by taking another A Level subject.

Why don't you finish your IGCSEs first and then go for AS/A Levels? This way you might get good grades in AS/A Levels.

can't u take like two IGCSE subjects in year 12 to make it a bit easier and if u feel Physics AS is necessary then take it but u gotta know it needs A LOT of hard work u can't do it by ur self u need a tutor or smthn .

Good Luck ;)

I just phoned UCL. They say it is one factor that can be taken into account if there is a lot of competition for that course. Presumable that means for all unis too.
