can anyone give me the molecular formula of the compound formed when Bromine reacts with following compound:

Bromine will react with the compound by electrophilic substitution mechanism.
All the double bonds will be broken and each carbon forming the carbon-carbon double bond will take a bromine atom.
Hence formula will be :
CH
3C(Br)CH
3CHBrCH
2CH
2C(Br)CH
2BrCHBrCH
2BR
I know its damn difficult to follow that but just add a bromine atom to each carbon forming the carbon-carbon double bonds and you'll get your answer
