Engineering as an academic discipline has maintained its popularity for the last two hundred years or so. With technological developments and advancements occurring in almost every country in the world today. According to World University Rankings, high quality and well-recognized engineering degrees are offered by top universities from over the world. Some of the best universities for engineering are- Imperial, Cambridge, Nottingham Southampton etc.

Indeed these universities are really good but I think you're being specific to UK only.

Cambridge has turned overtaken every other universities to reach the first place in the rankings. But that is overall subjects, not just engineering. ;)

I believe that MIT is the best in that particular field. :D

Lol they are all good, league tables don't mean anything. Maybe MIT has a bigger endowment than Cambridge but it doesn't mean that it's actually better. And as long as it's from a good accredited university, if engineering is what you're after, then rankings mean nothing. If I did compare between universities I'd rank Caltech, MIT at the top for US institutes and Imperial at the top for UK universities.

I think MIT is the best university for engineering. But with the exception of Stanford University, Massachusetts Inst Of Technology, California Institute of Technology, etc. are other top universities for mechanical engineering.From here http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/dg-engineering-101.aspx you may get a list of more best ranked universities for engineering.

does Cambride give Finacial aid or Scholarships?? cause i really really  need a schol or finacial aid!!!
