If you're doing A levels, make sure your basics are clear mate. You don't want trouble in the long run.

I just said it comes close to noble gases, resisting removal of electrons. Ofc it's not one. It tends to be.

I just started my AS levels!  ;D

Yeah........i am aware of that too :P

Garfield is completely right there dudes.

Indeed Mercury is the worst metal heat conductor ( Thermal conductivity = 8.30 W·m-1·K-1).
Ref : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_%28element%29

However Bismuth has a lower thermal conductivity value ( 7.97 W·m-1·K-1) but Bismuth is radioactive although its half-life is so huge (1.9 x 1019yrs) that sometimes it is considered to be stable!

Lead has a much greater thermal conductivity value (35.3 W·m-1·K-1)

yes, and of the poorest electrical conductor is TIN!  ;)

Actually the poorest electrical conductor is stainless steel. However being an alloy of chromium, it is not a pure metal.

So this is why TIN is considered to be the poorest electrical metal conductor!

I know the reason too!! :D

Other alloys are also poor conductors!  ;)
