Question 3

3 (a) (i) I'm sure you're capable of drawing this ;)

(ii) Add bromine water - with E the bromine water remains orange in colour. With F it is decolourised.

(iii) 12 *2 + 6 = 30

b) i) It has C double bonds.
ii) Its Polyethen - look it up in your textbook
iii) creates visual pollution - eyesores
releases toxic gases like hydrogen cyanide.

Question 5

(a) (i) Hydrogen
      water vapour

     ii) beium,ceium,deium

(b) i) copper
(ii) current ore deposits are being used up at an ever faster rate and as these metal ores are non-renewable we may have to look to other sources in the future.

Question 6

b) I
c) I H
d) H

Question 8

90/60 = 1.5 A

1.5 * (4*8/(4+8)) = 4 V is the PD across each resistor. Hence, 4/8 = 0.5 A (use the equation V=IR)

4V (see above)

The 4 ohm resistor transfer more energy per second. Use the equation E = V*I*t to prove this.

the earth comes into operation if a live wire touches the exposed part of the case this causes a large current to flow hence causing the fuse blow and preventing further flow of current.
