Does IELET Examination need special preparation?

I m confused
can any one tell me that does IELET exam need some special preparation?

i mean do i need to go for tutuion to prepare for IELET or ordering the refrence material and self -prepartion would be enof

well if you have done IGCSE english then you should know its very similar to that
tuition would be helpful but not at all necessary
if you are good in english then you can get good marks even by just using reference materials
but do practice from ielts books

I'd say you order the reference material, since these resources are mainly for exemplary purposes. And there should be no real need for tuition--if you want a more in-depth answer, tell me:
-> How many bands do you need?
-> What was your grade in English GCSE or any other prominent English qualification(s)?

I need 7.0 band minimum
mine IGCSE grade was E (45%)

All right, that isn't a very good grade. And since 7.0 band usually means the student had an English of about grade C and above, I suppose you will have to take IELTS tuition. You should take a few trial classes to see if the teachers and their style suit you at any particular tuition center. If you can't find a suitable place for the tuition, just make sure you register for IELTS leaving yourself ample time to study. The time period you leave should be spent working hard on a large amount of past-papers (more than what British Council or your center offers, preferably), which you might be able to obtain from bookshops too. For more information on IELTS, go to www.ielts.org and read it several times so that the basics of every procedure and examination pattern are on your fingertips.

For me, I went to review centers as they provide tips on how to write the exam. You also need to do a lot of practice sets, this is really effective I must say.

It depends on your English proficiency. If you are a first language speaker, it doest not. However, you may need to prepare if you are a second language speaker.

You can do so, and there are a variety of practice questions and books available to get you comfortable with the layout of the exam.

Try googling "Cambridge IELTS" and the books that come up should be very adequate for your preparation.

If your education medium was English all these years, you don't need any significant special preparation other than being acquainted with the test format. But grade E in IGCSE english is not a very good grade. So, I think you will require special preparation if you are to aim for a band 7.
