Combining partitions of the Hard disk
@d!_†oX!©:
Quite sometime ago, I made partitions to my hard disk. But now I want to combine them back to one. Anybody has any idea how to do that?
DrEvil:
Go to Control Panel
Admin Tools
Computer management
Disc management
On the right hand side, you will see your hard drives. Right click near the bottom, and you could see partitions on the same drive. From here, you can then remove the partition, and reformat the drive in question.
Hope this helps.
DrEvil:
You can also use a partitioning software that will help you. Partition Commander is a good one.

Thanks. But, I knew that already..what I have a doubt about is that when I delete th partition I don't want, will the space left out get merged into the other by itself?
Heart Hacker:
When you delete a partition, it goes into 'unallocated space'
You have to manually delete both partitions, and then create a new partition from the 'unallocated space', effectively a merge.
Make sure you backup all your data, as deleting a partition will cause all data on it to be lost.
